The Queen’s Gallery

The Queen’s Gallery Foundation was established in August 2003 in response to the gracious wish of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit to provide a permanent home for the exhibition of a wide range of Thai visual arts especially paintings and sculpture.

Her Majesty the Queen, a staunch Patroness of numerous foundations for Thai culture and arts, has been instrumental in bringing numerous ethnic Thais, irrespective of their basic education, from villages all over the country, and turning them into professional artists in various and diversified disciplines.

In this manner, Her Majesty the Queen designated all 7 million baht donated by the Chairman of the Bangkok Bank and parties. “This is the seed money for the building of a Thai arts exhibition center”.

This five-storey building displays the following works of art:

  • Paintings and works of art by young artists and artists from the SUPPORT Foundation and embroidery designs
  • Paintings and sculptures by His Majesty the King and members of the royal family
  • Paintings by National artists and contemporary masters
